Slimming World member Calum Johnston.
Meet Calum Johnston. The difference four months can make.
I joined Slimming World at the end of August 2023 shortly after booking my wedding for 2025.
I knew that if I didnt do something about loosing weight now and making changes to my eating habits I would be even heavier by the time my wedding came about.
My typical day would be Overnight night oats for breakfast as they're quick and easy for me to grab and go for work.
For lunch I would always have grilled chicken salads when I'm working or omelettes on my days off.
My favourite dinner is fake away chicken box or plain and simple sausage beans and chips.
My favourite snack would be fruit salad with fat free yogurt or slimming world hi-fi bars to keep me on plan.
I love the fact that I can actually see a difference in myself with the changes I'm making. And its also great that people can see the difference in me too.
My overall energy levels have increased and being a chronic asthmatic I can see a difference in my heath since joining Slimming World.
I really would encourage more men to join as there is already a lot of men within groups and there's nothing to be ashamed of.
Everyone is very supportive and we have a load of banter in group as well as recipe sharing and ideas being shared.
I would like to say that anyone can make changes. It doesn't matter what your circumstances are.
I work in a Fast food chain and I have went from eating McDonalds 5/6 days a week to making changing to healthier options. This not only has made a massive difference to my weight but I feel a lot better and confident for making those changes and I would encourage anyone to give it a go.
If you would love to make 2024 your year come along and join us in one of our fun, friendly groups.
