John Doherty, 26 Glenburn Way, Limavady (updated funeral arrangements)

The death has taken place of John Doherty, 14th February 2024, suddenly at his home, 26 Glenburn Way, Limavady. Beloved partner of the late Elizabeth R.I.P. Loving father of Paul and Alex, a much loved grandfather of Amber, Tyler, Eva, Rylee and Theo.
Son of the late Anthony and Norma R.I.P. Dear brother of Joe and the late Trevor and Maisie R.I.P. Family and friends welcome at O’Brien’s of Limavady Funeral Home, 10 Ballyclose Street BT490BN on Saturday, 17th February from 2.00pm to 5.00pm. Funeral from O’Brien’s of Limavady Funeral home on Monday, 19th February at 9.20am for Requiem Mass at 10.00am in St Aidan’s Church Magilligan followed by interment in the City Cemetery Derry. Rhoda Donaghy, 36 Capall Court, Derry

The death has taken place of Rhoda Donaghy, 16th February 2024, peacefully at her home, 36 Capall Court (formerly of Killyclogher, Omagh), beloved daughter of the late Bridget and Charlie, loving sister of the late Willis and John (Thaddy), cherished cousin of Rosemary and the late Pasty, dear friend of Eileen and Kathleen, and a devoted aunt to her nieces Shauna, Clare and Catherine and her nephew Kevin. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by the entire family circle and all her friends. Rhoda will be reposing at her home. Funeral leaving her home on Sunday, 18th February at 11.35am to Our Lady of Lourdes, Steelstown for Funeral Mass at 12.15pm. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on her soul. Our Lady of Lourdes intercede for her.

 

Paula Geraldine Fullerton, ‘Mansefield House’, 6 Ballynease Road, Bellaghy

The death has occurred of the late Paula Geraldine Fullerton (Bellaghy), 14th February 2024, (suddenly) beloved daughter of John and the late Celine, much loved sister of Sean, Caroline, Lorraine (Joe), Marie (Stephen) Michelle (John), Julie (Peter) and Janine (Garth) and also a loving aunt, sister-in-law and niece. Funeral on Monday leaving ‘Mansefield House’, 6 Ballynease Road, Bellaghy at 10.30am for Requiem Mass in St Mary’s Church, Bellaghy at 11.00am. Interment afterwards in adjoining cemetery. On her soul sweet Jesus have mercy. Forever loved and sadly missed by her father, brother, sisters, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and all the large family circle. Paula's wake will commence on Saturday at 11.00am. Family time 9.00pm - 11.00am. The family have requested family time prior to funeral on Monday.

 

James (Jamesie) Gallagher, 53A Glenabbey Crescent, Derry

The death has taken place of James (Jamesie) Gallagher, 14th February 2024, loving father of Darragh, beloved son of Mary and James (Fernabbey Drive) dear brother of Marty, brother-in-law of Lorraine and much loved uncle of Eabha Lily and Caoimhe. Jamesie's remains will be reposing in his home, 53A Glenabbey Crescent, BT48 8SZ, from 12noon on Saturday. He will be removed from there on Sunday at 6.30pm to St Patrick’s Church, Pennyburn for Requiem Mass on Monday at 12.30pm. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Jack Gorman, 7 Northland Avenue, Derry

The death has occurred of the late Jack Gorman, 15th February 2024, peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital, beloved husband of Mary, loving father of Raymond, Philip, Corinne and Peter, devoted granda to Caoimhe, Minei and Aoife, father-in-law to Tamaki and Massimo, dear son of the late William and Nora, cherished brother of Danny, Maura, Laura and the late William and Cecil, and a loving uncle to all his nieces and nephews. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by the wider family circle. Funeral leaving his home, 7 Northland Avenue on Monday, 19th February at 9.20am to St. Eugene’s Cathedral for Requiem Mass at 10.00am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Rita Hassan (née O’Kane), 6 Lackagh Park, Dungiven

We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of Rita Hassan (née O’Kane), peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital surrounded by her loving family on the 15th of February 2024. May she rest in peace. Late of 6 Lackagh Park, Dungiven, Co Derry. Beloved wife of Brian and loving mother of Sean and the late baby Lisa R.I.P. Daughter of the late Patsy and Kathleen O’Kane Ovil R.I.P and loving sister of Sean, Laura, Sinead, Eileen, Brian, Brendan, Seamus and Mary K. Will be sadly missed by all her nieces, nephews, and extended family circle. Reposing at her late home. Funeral from her late home on Sunday, 18th February leaving at 12.15pm for 1.00pm Requiem Mass in St Patricks Church, Dungiven. The death has taken place of Philomena Mullan, 15th February 2024, suddenly at Altnagelvin Hospital, (late of St. Eithne’s Park), beloved daughter of Mary and the late Paul, dear and loving sister of Mary, Lisa, Christopher, Peter and the late Alexandra and Paul, a loving aunt to all her nieces and nephews. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by the entire family circle. Philomena will be reposing at her sister Mary’s Home. Funeral leaving 44 Culmore Road on Sunday, 18th February at 8.00am to St. Patrick’s Church, Pennyburn for Funeral Mass at 8.30am. Jean (Janet) O'Donnell (née Martin), 12 Ballymagowan Avenue, Derry

The death has occurred of the late Jean (Janet) O'Donnell (née Martin), 15th February 2024, peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital, beloved wife of the late Roddy, loving mother of Kathy, Donna, Fiona, Gemma, Roddy and Connie, a loving mother-in-law, a devoted granny to her 13 grandchildren, dear daughter of the late Kathleen and Manus Martin, cherished sister to all her brothers and sisters. Will be sadly missed by the wider family circle. Funeral leaving her home, 12 Ballymagowan Avenue, on Sunday, 18th February at 12.50pm to St. Mary’s Church, Creggan for Funeral Mass at 1.30pm.
