A 'Stop the Genocide' march is one of the multitude of International Women's Day events taking place in Derry.

Co-organised by the Derry Branch the Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign and Alliance for Choice, the march is assembling at Bishop's Gate, on Saturday, March 9, at 1.00pm. It will then make it's way to Guildhall Square for a rally at 1.45pm.

There will be street performers, music, poetry and stalls on the day.

The march is being held in memory of the young Palestinian girl, Hind Rajab.

Hind was a five-year-old Palestinian girl from the Tel al-Hawa neighbourhood in  Gaza  City who was killed by the Israeli military, after being the sole survivor of Israeli tank fire on the vehicle she fled in with six relatives.
