Derry Magistrate's Court
A man has had his bail revoked after Derry Magistrate's Court heard that he had not answered when police called to his address.
Richard Fagan (31) of Caw Hill Park in Derry is currently on bail in connection with drug charges.
A police officer told the court that Fagan was in breach of his bail by not answering a phone as set out in his bail conditions, breaching his curfew and failing to sign when he was supposed to.
The court heard that police had called to the address on 1.20am on March 8 and there was no answer.
The officer said that police banged on the door and window and rang the number they had for Fagan to no avail.
Defence counsel Sean Doherty said that there had been no further offences.
He said that there had been a issue with the tag and G4S had called out and rectified that and Fagan thought he didn't have to sign the next day.
District Judge Barney McElholm said that the defendant claimed he had been asleep but it was probably more likely he was unconscious.
Bail was revoked and Fagan was remanded in custody to appear again on March 13.
