Derry's bin collections and recycling centres to operate as normal over St Patrick’s Day weekend

A number of Leisure Centres will close on St Patrick’s Day including: Templemore Sports Complex, the City Baths, Brooke Park Leisure & Sports Centre and Bishop’s Field. The Foyle Arena will operate under their normal Sunday opening hours

Derry's bin collections and recycling centres to operate as normal over St Patrick’s Day weekend

Pennyburn recycling centre will open with its usual Sunday opening hours on St Patrick’s Day and will open as normal on Monday, March 18

Derry City and Strabane District Council have reassured residents that many council services will remain undisrupted over the St Patrick’s Day Bank Holiday weekend celebrations.

Recycling Centres across the city and district will open with their usual Sunday opening hours on St Patrick’s Day and will open as normal on Monday, March 18.

Residents are reminded that bin collections will also operate as normal on Monday.

A number of Leisure Centres will close on St Patrick’s Day including: Templemore Sports Complex, the City Baths, Brooke Park Leisure & Sports Centre and Bishop’s Field. The Foyle Arena will operate under their normal Sunday opening hours. All centres will reopen as normal on Monday.

Cemeteries, museums and visitor services will also run as normal with the Guildhall and the Tower Museum opening as usual on St Patrick’s Day and on the Bank Holiday Monday. 

The Registrar’s office in Derry will close on Monday, March 18, reopening as normal on Tuesday, March 19.

Council offices on Strand Road will remain closed on Monday and reopen as normal on Tuesday.
