The Bank of Ireland Open Farm Weekend returns for 2024, promising fun and education for families and food enthusiasts.

Scheduled for Friday, June 14 (schools) and open to the public on Saturday, June 15, and Sunday, June 16, this event will highlight Northern Ireland's food and farming excellence.

Brook Hall Estate & Gardens, an 18th-century estate on the River Foyle, is a key participant. Renowned for its history and environmental leadership, Brook Hall will offer engaging activities and insights into sustainable farming.

David Gilliland has enhanced the visitor experience at Brook Hall through the Go Succeed Programme, supported by the Derry City and Strabane District Council.

Brook Hall, a pioneer in sustainability, is Northern Ireland’s first farm to achieve measurable carbon-positive status and is part of the ArcZero project.

Visitors will explore Brook Hall’s sustainability journey, learn about soil’s role in food production and climate change, and enjoy vintage machinery displays, tractor and trailer rides, and comprehensive farm tours.

On Sunday, June 16, the Naturally North Coast and Glens Artisan Market will debut at Brook Hall, featuring local crafts and products.

Delicious food from Lo & Slo and activities with Acorn Farm DCSDC will also be available.
