Official NI Chilli Eating Championships
A County Derry restaurant is set to host the Official NI Chilli Eating Championships 2024.
Lazy Llama of Moneymore in Magherafelt has partnered with Blackfire Hot Sauce to host the annual event.
The championship is set to take place on Sunday, August 18th, at 3pm.
The restaurant posted the news on their social media platforms as they look for participants to enter, with the closing date for entry being July 31.
The post said: “Winner takes the trophy and a cash prize!
“Free T-shirts for all entrants!”
There is a maximum of 10 entrants in the competition, with participants needing to be over the age of 18.
However, should you not wish to participate, there will be plenty on the day, according to Lazy Llama.
They said: “Mark your calendars and join us for an unforgettable day filled with a sizzling competition, artisan stalls, and mouth-watering BBQ food.
“Don’t miss out on the hottest event of the year!”
