A new chapter begins for Derry's Da Vinci Hotel

The hotel officially said goodbye to its former owner and wished them well

Derry’s Da Vinci Hotel officially said goodbye to its former owner. 

In a post on Facebook, the hotel wished the Garvan O’Doherty Group the best in the future. 

The post said: “The Garvan O’Doherty Group have, over the years, been wonderful custodians of our amazing hotel, and we wish them every success with their future endeavours.

“Thank you from team DV.”

The hotel is changing owners after 23 years, with brothers Patrick and Edmund Simpson, who are from Donegal, taking over the hotel located on Culmore Road.

Da Vinci’s continued in their post with a look to the future with their new owners. 

It said: “We’re all incredibly excited here at Da Vinci’s Hotel to work with our new owners, and we look forward to welcoming you all to our wonderful hotel. As we embark on our new journey of delivering unparalleled hospitality to the people of Derry and beyond.”

The Facebook post also had an update regarding the services of the hotel. 

It read: “Our hotel will continue to operate as normal; however, our kitchen will be operating at a reduced capacity (breakfast only). Please keep an eye out for further updates.”
