The death has taken place of the late Lily Cowan, 26th August 2024, peacefully at Springlawn Nursing Home, Omagh. Dearly beloved Wife of the late Tommy and a much-loved Mother of Beth, Tommy, Angela and George. The death has taken place of the late Terence Flanagan (35 Glenview, Maghera), 26th August 2024, (peacefully at hospital surrounded by his loving family) Terence RIP, beloved husband of Ann (née Heaney), much loved father of Karen Ann (Charrington) and Bernard, loving brother of Theodore and the late Brian, Caroline, and Leone and doting grandfather of Illiana. “House Private Please” family only. Terence’s remains are reposing in WJ O’Donnell & Sons Funeral Home, 43 Glenone Road, Clady (Corner) BT44 8LH. Visitors are welcome to call and pay their respects on Wednesday, 28th August between 7.00pm and 10.00pm. Kate Hilwell (née Babington), Sutton, Dublin (formerly of Derry)

The death has taken place of the late Kate Hilwell (née Babington) (Sutton), formerly of Derry, 27th August 2024, peacefully, in the loving care of the staff at St Francis Hospice, Raheny, Dublin 5, surrounded by her loving family. Deeply missed by her loving husband Hoppy, children Tom, Sarah, Liz and Ed, partners Martin, Jennie, Elaine and Paul, grandchildren Aisling, Louise, Dylan, Rhona, Fionn, Sophie and Willow, sister Susie, brothers Andrew and Anthony, sister-in-law Olive, Margaret, Joyce, Morna and Jill, brother-in-law Robert, nieces, nephews, extended family, cousins and many close friends, her dogs Buzzle and Ruby. Predeceased by her son-in-law Alan and brothers-in-law Alec and Brendan. Much loved and will be missed by all. Reposing at her home in Sutton on Thursday between 4.00pm - 8.00pm. Bill Lavery, 104 Templegrove, Derry

The death has taken place of the late Bill Lavery, 25th August 2024, suddenly at Oakleaves Care Home, beloved husband of Elsie, loving father of Carol, Joanne and Lorraine, devoted grandfather of Mark, Paul, Anne and Leon, great-grandfather of Erin, Anya, Cailean, Caelin, Myia, Aoife and Jake, dear son of the late George and Agnes and a dear and loving brother of George and the late Joe. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by the entire family circle. Bill will be reposing at his home, 104 Templegrove on Wednesday from 12:00noon to 8:00pm. Funeral leaving there on Thursday, 29th August at 9:20am to St. Patrick’s Church, Pennyburn for Requiem Mass at 10:00am. Sharon McColgan, 6 Tamworth Crescent, Kilfennan, Derry

The death has taken place of the late Sharon McColgan, 26th August 2024, suddenly at Altnagelvin Hospital, cherished daughter of Bosco and Mary, loving sister of Caroline, John, Brenda and Maria, much loved sister-in-law of Paul and the late Peter, devoted auntie of Lorna, Siobhan, Nadine, Ella, Aidan, Keevan, Shannon and Shea and treasured friend to many. Sharon’s remains will be reposing in her home, 6 Tamworth Crescent, Kilfennan. Funeral from there on Thursday at 12.30pm for 1o’clock Requiem Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Steelstown. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. The death has taken place of the late Diane Miller (née Simpson),  25th August 2024 (peacefully) at Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast. Diane, 25 Carthall Manor, Coleraine. Dearly loved wife of Billy, much loved mummy of Max, Freya, Jake and Amber. Loving daughter of Ivan and Margaret, devoted sister of Daryl and his wife Louise. Dear daughter-in-law of William and Betty, sister-in-law of Laura and her husband Tom and a dear niece and aunt. Service in Terrace Row Presbyterian church on Thursday at 2.00pm followed by a private family committal in Coleraine Cemetery.
