The death has taken place of the late Lily Cowan, 26th August 2024, peacefully at Springlawn Nursing Home, Omagh. Dearly beloved Wife of the late Tommy and a much-loved Mother of Beth, Tommy, Angela and George. A devoted Grandmother and Great Grandmother. A Funeral Service will take place at her Daughters Beth’s home 26 Primity Gardens, Newbuildings on Thursday, 29th August at 12noon followed by burial in Ballyoan Cemetery. We regret to inform you that the sudden death has taken place of Ciaran (Dougie) Dougan, 25 August 2024, late of The House in the Wells, St. Columb's Wells, Derry. Beloved son of Brian and the late Deirdre; much loved father of Ciaran and Luke and dear brother of Roisín and brother-in-law Stephen Cleary. His remains are reposing at The House in the Wells today (Wednesday, 28 August). Removal from there on Thursday morning, 29 August at 11.00am going to his sister Roisín Cleary's home, 22 Glen View, Clonbeg, Buncrana F93 P6W7 where you are welcome to pay your respect. Removal on Friday morning at 10.15am to St. Mary's Church, Cockhill for Requiem Mass at 11.00am followed by interment in the adjoining graveyard. House private on the morning of the funeral. The death has taken place of the late Terence Flanagan (35 Glenview, Maghera), 26th August 2024, (peacefully at hospital surrounded by his loving family) Terence RIP, beloved husband of Ann (née Heaney), much loved father of Karen Ann (Charrington) and Bernard, loving brother of Theodore and the late Brian, Caroline, and Leone and doting grandfather of Illiana. “House Private Please” family only. Kate Hilwell (née Babington), Sutton, Dublin (formerly of Derry)
The death has taken place of the late Kate Hilwell (née Babington) (Sutton), formerly of Derry, 27th August 2024, peacefully, in the loving care of the staff at St Francis Hospice, Raheny, Dublin 5, surrounded by her loving family. Deeply missed by her loving husband Hoppy, children Tom, Sarah, Liz and Ed, partners Martin, Jennie, Elaine and Paul, grandchildren Aisling, Louise, Dylan, Rhona, Fionn, Sophie and Willow, sister Susie, brothers Andrew and Anthony, sister-in-law Olive, Margaret, Joyce, Morna and Jill, brother-in-law Robert, nieces, nephews, extended family, cousins and many close friends, her dogs Buzzle and Ruby. The death has taken place of the late Bill Lavery, 25th August 2024, suddenly at Oakleaves Care Home, beloved husband of Elsie, loving father of Carol, Joanne and Lorraine, devoted grandfather of Mark, Paul, Anne and Leon, great-grandfather of Erin, Anya, Cailean, Caelin, Myia, Aoife and Jake, dear son of the late George and Agnes and a dear and loving brother of George and the late Joe.
