Northern Ireland Food To Go Association's highly anticipated roadshow will kick off in Derry's Guildhall later this month.
Taking place between 10.00am – 6.00pm on Tuesday, 24th September, the event will bring together leading industry professionals, suppliers, and food enthusiasts for a day filled with innovation, networking, and insight into the rapidly growing "food to go" sector in Northern Ireland.
Amid a challenging climate for the industry itself, the NI Food To Go Association has been actively advocating for the needs and concerns of local businesses within the region. Understanding the complexities of operating a food business, the Association seeks to lighten the load for business owners by offering various services such as advice, support, discount programmes, training and recruitment assistance.
Additionally, it provides a strong voice for the industry at all levels of government.
Speaking on the Roadshow, Michael Henderson, Chief Executive of the NI Food To Go Association, said: "We are thrilled to bring the NI Food To Go Association Roadshow to Derry/Londonderry's Guildhall this year. This event celebrates the diversity, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit that defines our industry.
"We look forward to engaging with familiar faces and new participants from across the region in what will be a fantastic day."
With hosts including Henderson Food Service, and in partnership with Go Succeed, Derry City and Strabane District Council, Derry Chamber of Commerce, Legenderry Food, Foodovation and Invest NI, the Roadshow promises to be the perfect opportunity for those within the NI food to go sector to learn more about the industry and form invaluable connections with other industry professionals.
Mayor of Derry City and Strabane District Council, Councillor Lilian Seenoi Barr, said: "I am delighted to see the NI Food To Go Roadshow come to the Guildhall. This event showcases our local food sector's incredible talent and innovation, providing a fantastic opportunity for local businesses to connect, learn, and grow. The food industry is vital to our community's economic and social fabric, and we must do all we can to support it."
The NI Food to Go Association Roadshow is open to anyone interested in the food to go sector, from established business owners to aspiring entrepreneurs and culinary enthusiasts.
