The incident happened in the vicinity of John Street.

Police in Derry are appealing for information or footage in relation to a traffic related incident following a report that a male and his dog were hit by a car.

The incident happened in the John Street area of the city at around 5.30pm yesterday (Monday, September 30).

A PSNI spokesperson said: "If you were in the vicinity of John Street, near the traffic lights beside Mother Cluckers chip shop at approximately 5.30pm on Monday, September 30 2024 and can assist Police with their enquiries or if you have Dash cam or video footage please call 101 quoting serial 1313 of the 30/09/24."
