Vigil for Gaza on Derry's Peace Bridge
Derry’s Peace Bridge will be the venue to a weekly ‘Bridgil’ for Palestine.
Organised by the Derry branch of the Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign (IPSC) ‘to show the palestinian people they have not been forgotten’.
IPSC Derry posted the announcement on their instagram account.
It read: “We are the many and our governments are the few. Even in this darkest of moments we must show up.
“Please join us with your flags and friends.”
This ‘Bridgil’ comes in wake of an Israeli strike on the Al Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Gaza on Monday October 14, where at least three have been confirmed dead and dozens other injured.
While another same day Israeli attack on a school used to shelter displaced Palestinians has killed at least 22 people, including 15 children, in central Gaza, officials say.
The event at the Peace Bridge in Derry is set to begin from Friday, October 18, from 5.30pm to 6pm.
