Derry Magistrate's Court
A woman has been remanded in custody at Derry Magistrate's Court today charged with breaching a non molestation order.
Katy Bowers (36) of Heron Way in Derry appeared charged with breaching the order on October 20.
She also faced charges of disorderly behaviour and criminal damage to various items on September 20.
A police officer connected the accused to the charges and opposed bail.
He told the court that on September 20 the defendant's former partner said she had been outside his door and had kicked it up to 30 times.
In the course of this the letter box was damaged and came off and the the defendant was said to have used that to damage the alleged victim's car.
When police went to Bower's address she was alleged to have started 'shouting and roaring' at police and was arrested for disorderly behaviour.
Bowers was released on police bail to appear in court later on condition she did not contact the man in the case and did not go near his address.
A non molestation order was also taken out.
The court then heard that on October 20 at 3.50am the defendant was alleged to have started banging on the door again accompanied by a male.
The banging woke one of the children who identified her mother and her uncle outside.
The police officer said that the defendant had been given a chance with the police bail.
He added that Bowers had 17 previous convictions and 16 suspended sentences and said there was a 'clear risk' of re-offending.
Defence solicitor Roma McGeady said that the criminal damage charges would be contested and added her client had 'co-operated fully' with police.
She said Bowers would deny being at the property.

District Judge Barney McElholm said that the defendant had been given a chance but she 'clearly not prepared to abide by bail conditions'.
He refused bail and remanded Bowers in custody to appear again on November 14.
