NIE Networks employees from the Campsie Depot and surrounding area who enjoyed a celebratory lunch in recognition of their Investors in People Platinum accreditation.
Employees at the NIE Networks Depot in Campsie and the surrounding area enjoyed a celebratory lunch last week in recognition of the company’s recent Investors in People Platinum accreditation.
Investors in People recognises a company’s people management with organisations being awarded one of four levels of accreditation - Standard, Silver, Gold or Platinum. NIE Networks joins just 6% of accredited companies worldwide to achieve platinum status.
Gordon Parkes, Executive Director People and Culture, commented: “NIE Networks were the 12th company in Northern Ireland to achieve this award, and joins just 6% of accredited companies worldwide. It is a tremendous achievement and belongs to each and every employee who contribute to that culture through the thousands of interactions they have every day. It was important to us as an Executive that we took the time to thank our employees and provide them with an opportunity to reflect on the achievement and connect with colleagues over lunch.”
Having held gold accreditation since 2014, NIE Networks is delighted to have achieved the highest level of accreditation, marking it as an employer of choice in Northern Ireland.
At the heart of the IIP assessment is the voice of employees who get the chance to share their thoughts, feelings and opinions, as well as the maturity of people management and development practices, strategies and plans.
Gordon concluded: “Our people are the heart and soul of our organisation, and it is reassuring to have received such positive feedback from both them and the IIP assessors. It is also a welcome recognition for the hard work put in by our team members who make NIE Networks the great place to work that it is.”
Paul Devoy, Chief Executive, Investors in People said: “The leadership team at NIE Networks have demonstrated a long-term commitment to investing in their people. This Platinum accreditation is richly deserved as they have systematically improved their people management practices year on year. It is an exceptional achievement by everyone in NIE Networks; they now join an elite group of Platinum clients.”
The IIP Assessors judged NIE Networks to have leaders and people who take accountability for delivering consistently positive results and an unwavering commitment to employees’ health, safety and wellbeing. They also recognised a culture of engagement which is open, honest, and supportive - allowing people to feel valued, respected, and motivated.
Eddie Salmon, Investors in People Assessor, commented: “This Platinum Accreditation for NIE Networks is a clear demonstration of progress, hard work, perseverance, and commitment. It is recognition of continued focus on building a vibrant people-centric culture, characterised by high levels of employee engagement, team collaboration and a shared sense of purpose for the future. This accreditation is a testament to everyone in NIE Networks because it is the people who make the culture what it is. Congratulations!”
