The Ulster Orchestra set to perform two festive musical celebrations in Derry before Christmas
The Ulster Orchestra has announced two festive concerts to take place in Derry this December.
Founded in 1966, the Ulster Orchestra has provided Northern Ireland with exceptional musical performances for over 50 years. This Christmas, fans of the orchestra have the opportunity to see two performances here in Derry, Handel's iconic Messiah and The Magic of Christmas.
On Sunday, 15 December the Ulster Orchestra will be take to the stage in the Guildhall to perform Handel's Messiah. This timeless classic will feature the renowned Codetta chamber choir, alongside esteemed soloists.

The Ulster Orchestra says that Handel's Messiah is a remarkable expression of musical and spiritual beauty that has resonated through the ages.
On Wednesday, 18 December the festivities continue with The Magic of Christmas at the Millennium Forum. This concert promises a perfect night out for the whole family with Christmas classics such as The Fairy Tale of New York, It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas and White Christmas all being performed on the night.
The Ulster Orchestra will be joined by the incredibly talented Dana Masters from Northern Ireland, a celebrated jazz singer who has toured with Van Morrison and Patrick Smyth, known for his performances with the Strictly Come Dancing tour and the John Williams Orchestra.

Tickets for the Messiah are £19 and tickets for The Magic of Christmas start at £18.
