Magherafelt’s award winning designer Johnathan Anderson has joined forces with Harry Styles’ Pleasing label.
The news comes just days after Anderson won the Designer of the Year trophy at this year’s British Fashion Awards.
Anderson announced the collaboration on Instagram with a photograph of himself and the mega star Styles. The caption reads “Playing around”. Over on Harry’s Pleasing Instagram page he hinted at the collaboration with a photograph of a table filled with designs and snacks. The caption reads “Nothing to see here - just two friends, catching up over tea. Something special is coming soon.”

Styles finally announced the collaboration with the Magherafelt designer with a post on Instagram saying “Harry Styles and Jonathan Anderson in London for Pleasing x JW Anderson, May 2024—together finishing the collection’s designs, choosing nail polish names, and creating Harry’s own version of the signature Bumper 15 bag.”
The collection is described as being born out of a fashion-fueled friendship between Anderson and Styles.
The highlights of the 12 piece collection include a “Bunch of Balloons” cardigan, which sees a slew of colorful balloons flying over the shoulder of a collared knit. This knit is a reinterpretation of the iconic JW Anderson Patchwork Cardigan which was previously worn by Harry Styles. Fans of the signer and turned designer will be able to get their hands on the recreation collectors item for £650. The original design worn by Harry is displayed at the Victoria and Albert Museum.
Other pieces include a “Balloon Star” long-sleeve, which hosts a cluster of star-shaped balloons in the center of the torso. There is also a semi-sheer shirt covered in kaleidoscopic balloons. Fans can also get their hands on classic iconic crewnecks and hoodies boasting both brands’ unique trademarks.
In terms of accessories the fashionable pair have designed a new Bumber 15 bag in a green-black color scheme, as well as green balloon star bag charms. Completing the range, Pleasing and Anderson have developed their own nail polish set, which includes silver-black, yellow, orange and purple shades.
The Pleasing x JW Anderson collaboration is now available to shop on the Pleasing website. Prices ranging from £20 to £850.
