Rosemount 4
Carrowreagh Celtic 2
Mark Healy dragged Rosemount to victory in a dramatic Gilfillan Cup final which saw the city side come from behind to win the trophy.
With just 11 minutes remaining, Rosemount were trailing 2-1 and lucky to still be in the game until substitute Mo Crossan equalised after Healy had earlier cancelled out Jordan Armstrong's opener.
Carrowreagh should have been 2-0 ahead at least but big chances came and went, especially when they were awarded a penalty five minutes into the second half. Paul Simon Tracey's effort from 12 yards was good, but the save from goalkeeper Eoin Cunningham was even better.
After Healy scored his first, Carrowreagh took the lead for a second time when Shea McGinley fired home, but they soon lost their heads completely.
Caolin McLaughlin was sent off for an off the ball incident and within minutes Crossan had made it 2-2.
Tracey, substituted minutes after his penalty miss, was then sent from the sideline by referee Eugene Burns, before Healy put Rosemount ahead for the first time with just five minutes left.
Carrowreagh pushed everyone forward in stoppage time, including their goalkeeper, but that cost them, as Rosemount broke and Healy ran the length of the pitch to score an easy tap in to complete his treble.
There was still time for another Carrowreagh red card after the final whsitle, with Mark Toland the third player to see red.
