Derry Palestine Solidarity Campaign call for 'feet on the streets' for Gaza march

The Derry Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign (IPSC) have called on the public to join them on Saturday, January 18 to march in solidarity with the people of Palestine.

The march will start at 2pm from the Waterside train station and continue to the Guildhall Square for a rally.

In widely shared a Facebook post, Derry IPSC said: "After 18 months of live-streamed #genocideingaza by #israel we must not become desensitised to these crimes against humanity.

"We must continue to protest and fight for Israel to be brought to justice and for an end to the illegal #apartheid occupation of #palestine"

The announcement of the demonstration comes just as reports emerge of another attack by Israeli forces taking place in Gaza.
According to Palestinian medics an Israeli military strike killed 12 people in a house in Gaza city on Saturday morning bringing the death toll to 62 at the start of last weekend and a further 49 were killed in the span of 24 hours from Sunday, January 5 going into Monday January 6.
At least 45,805 Palestinians are reported to have been killed and a further 109,064 have been injured since October 7, 2023.
