The Derry Bentley Group has taken to social media to send a message to Conor McGregor.

Through a video on TikTok and an Instagram post, they have appeared to announce they are no longer selling his alcoholic products in their chain of bars.

This message comes following the now-deleted comments by the former UFC champion on X, formerly Twitter.

The Dubliner took to the platform after Derry’s Professional Fighting League (PFL) star Paul Hughes’ defeat to Khabib Nurmagomedov.

A feud between Hughes and McGregor began following the Lavey man's post-fight comments, as he said: “I’m not like this other guy. I’m my own man.”

In response, McGregor said: “Too right, you’re not.”

A number of tweets would follow this one, with one bringing into question Hughes’ Irish identity due to being from the North.

It read: “Get that flag off you, you little know-what-you-are c*** from up there.

"Up the real Irish f*** these vermin f****."

In response to those comments, the Derry man said: “[McGregor], always said you were the GOAT and paid homage at every opportunity.

“But coming at my Irish identity just shows where your head is at.”

There was a backlash to the comments made by many people in Derry and Ireland across social media, including James McClean and Jake Paul.

On his Instagram story, Wrexham’s captain said: “@PaulHughesMMA proper Irishman, keep flying that flag high, class act that fellow Northerners and fellow IRISH are PROUD of."

The Derry Bentley Group is now the latest to add to those critical of the comments made by the 36-year-old.

Their video starts with someone throwing a bottle of Proper Twelve whiskey off the bar top into a bin, signifying that his product is no longer welcome in the chain of Bentley establishments, before talking to a barman from the city McGregor hails from.

He said: “As a proud Crumlin man, a proud Dublin man, and an Irishman, Conor McGregor, you should be f****** ashamed of yourself. Go f*** yourself from Derry.”

Meanwhile their instagram post has joked that ‘Only Proper Irish Stout Is Served Here’ on a screen in the Embankment bar and restaurant.
