The League of Ireland is set to get underway next week, and every fan will be buzzing with anticipation and optimism ahead of the upcoming season.

This excitement will slowly bubble until Friday, February 14, when the campaign will start for six clubs, while the remaining four will kickstart theirs across the weekend.

It has now become part of the norm with each new season that clubs will design, develop, and release a new jersey, and 2025 is no different.

A view can be taken that a new kit each year may allow fans to associate a potentially successful and memorable season with a particular jersey, while a cynic may view it as corporate greed from clubs and kit manufacturers to squeeze every last penny from fans.

I know which camp I find myself in.

However, every club in the division has now launched their kit for the upcoming season, even if they are not all able to be purchased at the time of writing.

Derry City can proudly proclaim theirs is the cheapest to purchase.

This information was required from either the club’s official shop or their official partner, in which a club sells their home top for an adult male.

The Candystripes are selling their jerseys for £50 on their club website, making it the cheapest League of Ireland jersey on offer.

The second cheapest jersey on offer in the league is from Cork City, with the club offering the jersey for £51.11.

The newly promoted side is over £5 cheaper than the next cheapest club jersey on offer, that being the current FAI Cup holders.

Drogheda United are selling their 2025 jersey for €70, which converts to £58.17.

Only one other club is not offering a home jersey at a price cheaper than €75, which half the clubs in the division have decided to price their jerseys at.

This being the current League of Ireland champions, Shelbourne, with Damian Duff’s side selling it for €72 (£59.92).

Although Galway United are offering jerseys between €72 and €75, the price of your top would depend on the size you are looking to purchase.

Bohemians, Shamrock Rovers, Waterford Untied, Sligo Rovers, and St. Patrick’s Athletic are all offering their home jersey for the price of €75, with this being the most expensive price at which a replica jersey is listed on a club website or for Sligo and St. Pats being listed on their partner Intersport Elvery's website.
