Sports stars among incredible line-up for this year's International Women's Day event in Derry

The fantastic CelebrateHER Conference will celebrate International Women's Day at Ulster University in Coleraine on Tuesday, 4 March. 

The conference is returning this year following its phenomenal success in recent years with a host of inspiring guests to mark the incredible contributions of women within the community. 

The event will include a range of thought-provoking keynote speakers as well as a panel of motivational women and opportunities to connect with over 200 like-minded people through facilitated networking. 

Caroline O’Neill (Digg Mama / Digg for Success) will return as host for the conference, ready to explore the theme of Accelerate Action – celebrating women's achievements, exchanging game-changing ideas, and building confidence to chase goals.

All are welcome to this uplifting event, whether you're an entrepreneur, considering starting a business, unemployed, a caregiver, on a career break, a dedicated volunteer, a community leader or member. 

Among the accomplished line-up of speakers are Olympic medallists Hannah Scott and Lady Mary Peters. The sporting stars will share stories about triumphs, challenges and defining moments from their exceptional careers. 

The Former Irish Navy Ships Captain and Founder of NavMar Leadership, Marie Gleeson, will also attend the event. Marie will discuss her experiences as one of the first female officers in the Irish Navy as well leadership and building resilience. 

Emma Burdett, founder of Digital Culture, will also be there to delve into authenticity in the digital age and what the future of storytelling looks like.
