Funeral to take place for Kilrea crash victim Annie McWilliams

The midwife died at the scene of a two-vehicle collision on the Windyhill Road, Macosquin on Thursday

Annie McWilliams, from Kilrea, who died as result of road traffic collision.

The funeral of a Kilrea woman who died following a road traffic collision near Coleraine will take place on Tuesday.

Annemarie (Annie) McWilliams died at the scene of the two-vehicle collision on the Windyhill Road, Macosquin at about 3.10pm on Thursday (February 20).

The 35 year-old worked as a midwife in Causeway Hospital.

Requiem Mass for Ms McWilliams will take place at 11am on Tuesday, February 25 in St Mary's Church, Drumagarner followed by interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Ms McWilliam's wake will commence tomorrow (Sunday) at 12noon.

Meanwhile, the PSNI's Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the circumstances of the collision and are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or anyone who may have CCTV, dash-cam or other footage that could assist with the investigation is asked to contact detectives from the Collision Investigation Unit on 101 quoting reference 1027 20/02/25.
