William Deeney, 88 Amelia Court, Steelstown, Derry

The death has taken place of the late William Deeney, April 3 2025, beloved husband of the late Sinead, 88 Amelia Court, Steelstown, loving father of Michael, Tony, Mairead, Fiona and David, father-in-law of Sean and Damien, a devoted grandfather, son of the late Davy and Deborah and dear brother of Donny, Janet, Pat, David, Margaret, Cathy, Martin and Bernadette. His remains will be reposing in his home. Funeral from there on Saturday at 10.30am for 11o’clock Requiem Mass in St Brigid’s Church, Carnhill. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Family time please from 9.00pm to 12noon. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul.

 

Rose Logue, Draperstown (Carnamoney)

The death has taken place of Rose Logue, April 3 2025, peacefully at home, Draperstown (Carnamoney), surrounded by her loving family. Daughter of the late Joseph and Bridget Logue. Much loved Sister of May (Hanrahan), Annie, Gerard and Martina (O'Neill) and the late Sadie (Glasgow), Pat and Noel. Sister in law of Rose and John. Funeral arrangements later. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on her soul. Deeply regretted by her sorrowing brother, sisters, sister in law and brother in law, nieces, nephews and the entire family circle. Wake commencing Friday, April 4 at 10.00am. Family time each night from 10.00pm.

 

Kevin McCoy, Portstewart (formerly Ballymena and Moneyglass)

The death has taken place of the late Kevin McCoy, April 3 2025 (peacefully at his daughter’s residence, 31 High Road, Portstewart, surrounded by his loving family), beloved husband of the late Alice, much loved father of Caitriona, Mary, James and Patrick and loving brother of Sarah, Tommy, Anne, Peadar the late Teasie, Paddy, Alec, Bernie. Kevin’s wake and funeral arrangements have yet to be finalised, we will update these here as soon as they become available. Deeply regretted by his sorrowing sons, daughters, daughter-in-law Amanda, son-in-law Julian, grandsons Gareth, Andrew and Joshua, granddaughters Sarah and Amy, great grandson Theo and all the family circle. On his soul, sweet Jesus, have mercy.

 

Patrick Masih, Sutton Coldfield, England

The death has taken place of Patrick Masih, March 17 2025, (suddenly) at his home in Sutton Coldfield, England, devoted and much loved Husband of Denise, proud and much adored Dad of Jackson, dearly loved Son-in-Law of Desmond and Margaret Cahoon (Magherafelt, NI) and a dearly loved Brother, Brother-in-Law and Uncle. A Service of Thanksgiving for Patrick’s life will take place in Rea Church, St Mary and St Ambrose, Pershore Road, Birmingham, B5 7RA on Saturday, April 12 at 1.00pm. We would ask that those attending arrive at the church by 12:30pm please. The Funeral Service in Northern Ireland will take place on Friday, April 18 at 12:30pm in Calvary Free Presbyterian Church, 23 Mullaghboy Hill Road, Magherafelt, BT45 5HQ, followed by burial in the adjoining Churchyard. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if desired, to The Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust and Jericho (A Charity Patrick worked for), can be made online or payable to D. Watters (Donations A/c), 55 Main Street, Tobermore Magherafelt BT45 5PP. Lovingly remembered and sadly missed by all his Family in England, Northern Ireland and America. Psalm 116:15 "Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints."

 

Stephen Quigley, 21 Joseph Place, Derry

The death has taken place of the late Stephen Quigley, April 2 2025, peacefully at his home, 21 Joseph Place, beloved husband of the late Ann, loving father of Kevin and Stephen, devoted grandfather of Ethan, Leah, Stephen, Riley, Chanice, Dean and Adam, and great-grandfather of Jackson, cherished brother of Jim. Margaret, Billy, Brendan, Paul, Terry, Declan, Marie and the late Barry, Tony, Gerard, John and Kevin (Twin). Stephen will be reposing at his home. Funeral leaving his home on Saturday, April 5 at 10:50am to St. Columba’s Church, Long Tower for Requiem Mass at 11:30am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Sacred Heart Of Jesus have mercy on her soul. Our Lady Of Lourdes intercede for him.

 

Gerald Stewart, 59 Lisfannon Park, Derry

It is with deep sorrow and great sadness that we announce the passing of Gerald Stewart, peacefully at home on April 3 2025. Late of 59 Lisfannon Park. May he rest in peace. Beloved husband of the late Margaret. Devoted father of Donna, Lorraine, Damian, Annmarie, Corah, Gerald, Shauna and Martina. Loving granda to all of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A much loved father-in-law. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of his wider family circle, friends and neighbours. Gerald’s remains will be reposing at his late residence, 59 Lisfannon Park. Funeral leaving from there on Saturday, April 5 at 12:20pm for 1.00pm Requiem Mass in St. Columba’s Church, Longtower.
