Dorothy Burns (née Parke), Eglinton

The death has occurred of the late Dorothy Burns (née Parke), May 30 2025, beloved wife of the late Joseph, formerly of Eglinton, loving mother of Amber and Ronnie, mother-in-law of Jennifer, devoted grandmother of Joanne and her husband Scott and great-grandmother of Arthur and Toby. Funeral service in St Canice’s Parish Church, Eglinton, on Sunday, June 1 2025 at 3.00pm. Interment afterwards in the adjoining churchyard. Family flowers only please. Edith Mary Jones, 137 Kinsale Park, Derry

The death has occurred of the late Edith Mary Jones, May 30 2025, peacefully at home, 137 Kinsale Park, beloved wife of the late Ivor, loving Mother of Gareth and Hayley and her partner Brian, dear mother in law of Gillian, devoted grandmother of Jonathan (Laura), Justine,(Alan), Ellie (Andrew), dear great grandmother to Ollie, Annie and Darcie, a much loved sister and friend. Funeral leaving her home at 12.30pm on Tuesday, June 3 for 1.00pm service in Holy Trinity Parish Church Culmore followed by burial in Altnagelvin Cemetery. Family time please from 10.00pm until 10.00am. Deeply regretted by her loving family and friends. Safe in the Arms of Jesus.

 

Martyn (Marty) McKeague, Kilrea

Updated arrangements for the late Martyn (Marty) McKeague, Died May 29 2025 (Kilrea). N.B. Martyn will be reposing at his parents home, 85 Grove Road, Swatragh. Everyone welcome to call on Sunday from 12noon to 9.00pm, beloved partner of Emma and loving father of Lorcan. Much adored son of Damian (Beagle) and Zara; loving brother of Shannon; cherished grandson of Tony and Mary Gibson and the late John and Josie McKeague and a much loved nephew and cousin. Funeral from his parents home on Monday at 11:15am for 12noon Requiem Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Craigavole. Interment afterwards in adjoining cemetery. Our Lady of Knock pray for him. Late of 6 Thackeray Place, Limavady and 191 Finvola Park, Dungiven, Co Derry. Beloved son of Paddy and the late Agnes R.I.P. and loving brother of Marie, Una (Yenican), Michael, Seamus, Malachy, Deirdre (McKenna) and Sinead (Rivers). Very deeply regretted by his sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, neice, nephews and the entire family circle. Dearly beloved husband of the late Agnes R.I.P.; much loved father of Marie, Una (Osman Yenican), Michael (Mary P.), Seamus (Diane), Malachy, Deirdre (Anthony McKenna), Sinead (Ryan Rivers) and recently deceased John R.I.P (May 29). A much-adored grandfather of Fergal & Conor; Erman & Aaron; Cathaír, Órlaith & Conán; Oscar and Felix. Son of the late John and Mary, dear brother of Louisa (Hasson) and the late Kathleen (Campbell), Sheila (O'Connell), Hugh, John and Mary Frances. The death has taken place of the late Rose O’Neill (née McElhone) (Lissan), May 31 2025, beloved wife of the late Tom and loving mother of Seamus (Sharon), Ursula McMenamin (Liam), Paul (Leah) and Barry (Keira), daughter of the late John and Elizabeth and dear sister of the late James, Mary, Annie, Elizabeth, Kathleen, Michael, John and Margaret. Funeral from Seamus’ home, 5b Dirnan Road, Lissan BT80 9XL on Monday, June 2 at 10.30am for 11.00am Requiem Mass in Church of St Michael Lissan, interment afterwards in adjoining cemetery. We regret to inform you that the death has taken place of Fred Sharkey, suddenly but peacefully, at Altnagelvin Hospital surrounded by his loving family on May 30 2025 May he rest in peace. Late of 101 Crockmore Road, Claudy, BT47 4JP, Co Derry. Beloved husband of Teresa. Loving father of Gerard (Kay), Seamus (June), Raymond (Josephine), Patrick, Kieran (Barbara) and Dermot (Aileen). Will be very sadly missed by all his grandchildren, great grandchildren and deeply regretted by the entire family circle. Reposing at his late home. Family time 10.00pm to 11.00am.
