Limavady Grammar School pupils celebrate GCSE success in 2025

Limavady Grammar School has announced another year of exceptional GCSE results for its students in 2025.

The results reflect consistently high attainment and a further improvement on the high grades from 2024, with almost 50% of all students achieving 5 or more A*/A grades and a 100% pass rate across all subjects. Many students have not only met but exceeded their personal targets, paving the way for their continued academic journeys into A-Levels and beyond.

33 students achieved at least 7 A*/A grades with top achievers Zach McCahon and Ashwitha Sunny each achieving 9 A* grades. This year's GCSE outcomes are a true testament to the perseverance and resilience demonstrated by the students, particularly in navigating their studies amidst a challenging educational landscape.

Principal Nicola Madden expressed immense pride in the students' accomplishments, highlighting their commitment and the unwavering support provided by the school community.

"We are absolutely thrilled with the outstanding GCSE results our students have achieved this year," said Mrs Madden. "These results are a clear reflection of the incredible dedication and resilience shown by each of our young people. Their commitment to their studies, coupled with the tireless efforts of our teaching staff and the invaluable support from parents, has truly paid off."

Mrs Madden continued: "It’s not just about the grades, but about the growth and development we've witnessed in our students over their time with us. They have embraced challenges, supported one another, and emerged with the knowledge and skills necessary for their next steps.

"We are immensely proud of every single one of them and look forward to seeing them continue to thrive in their chosen paths, whether that be in our Sixth Form or pursuing other exciting opportunities."

The school extends its warmest congratulations to all GCSE students and their families. As they embark on the next phase of their education, Limavady Grammar School remains dedicated to nurturing ambitious, well-rounded individuals prepared to make a positive contribution to society.

Pupils who may be interested in joining the school to study for AS and A levels should make an appointment to see the Principal by phoning the school office on 02877760950.
