The 29-year-old confirmed her marriage to her partner Peter Eastwood on social media saying “The votes are in…we said yes. #LandslideVictory”

Cara gave thanks by sharing a picture of the newlyweds on the altar saying “God has blessed me beyond measure in this life.”

Ms Hunter has been an MLA since 2020, when she was co-opted to replace the late John Dallat, becoming the youngest elected female politician in Northern Ireland.
She is currently the SDLP’s spokesperson on mental health and education and is a member of the Assembly’s Education Committee.
Cara recently shared she will be taking a short break from social media and politics to enjoy her honeymoon.
