Denis (Ding) Doherty, 93 Marlborough Road, Derry
The death has taken place of Denis (Ding) Doherty, September 7 2025, peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital, beloved husband of Roisin, devoted father of Gavin, Conor and Sean, dear son of Teresa and the late Denis, cherished brother of Paddy, Louis, Margaret, Fiona, Aine and Caitriona, devoted uncle to all his nieces and nephews, caring brother-in-law to all his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law and a dear son-in-law of the late James and Sally Devine. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by his wider family circle, friends and neighbours. Denis will be reposing at his home, 93 Marlborough Road on Tuesday, September 9 and Wednesday, September 10 from 12:00noon to 9:00pm. Funeral leaving his home on Thursday, September 11 at 9:20am to St. Eugene’s Cathedral for Requiem Mass at 10:00am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Philip Hayes, Newry (Formerly of Portstewart)
The death has taken place of the late Philip Hayes (Newry), September 7 2025. Peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family, cherished husband of Joanne (née Heaney) and devoted dad of Jack and Ben, much loved son of Laurie and the late Pat, stepson of Agnes and son-in-law of Margaret and the late Brendan Heaney, 44 Ardaveen Avenue, Newry, BT35 8UJ and formerly Portstewart. May he Rest In Peace. Phillip will repose at his late residence on Tuesday 1.00pm - 9.00pm. Funeral on Wednesday at 12.30pm for 1.00pm Requiem Mass in the Church of the Sacred Heart, Cloughoge. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. St Michael the Archangel pray for him. The death has taken place of the late Kevin Johnston, September 8 2025, beloved husband of Bridie, 46 Ballynagard Crescent, loving father of Lee and Barry, father-in-law of Denise and Ashlene, devoted grandfather of Rory and Rachael an dear brother of Patrick, Kieran, Philip and the late Attracta and Margaret. Kevin’s remains will be reposing in his home. Funeral from there on Wednesday at 9.25am for 10o’clock Requiem Mass in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Steelstown. Pauline Proctor (née Deery), 66 Ervey Road, Cross
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Pauline Proctor (née Deery), September 7 2025, peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of Paul, devoted mother of Tyrone (Clare), Ceava (James), Shane (Erinne) and Shannon (Andy), adored grandmother of Aimee, Grace, Mehawl, Finn, Eli, Cian, Ethan, Robbie, Cohen, Eoin and Cora, dearest daughter of the late Kevin and Bridget Deery and daughter-in law to the late Johnny and Clara Proctor and a much loved sister, aunt and friend. Pauline's remains will be reposing at her late home, 66 Ervey Road. Funeral leaving from there on Wednesday, September 10 at 12.25 pm for 1o'clock Requiem Mass in St. Mary's Church, Tamnaherin. Wayne Walker, Coleraine
The death has occurred of the late Wayne Walker, September 5 2025, (suddenly) at Antrim Area Hospital, dearly loved son of John and the late Andrea, dear brother of Gemma, loving uncle of Leo, Jaxon and Jonah and much-loved grandson of David and the late Margaret McCartney. Funeral service in Murdock’s Funeral Home, 2A Windsor Avenue, Coleraine on Wednesday at 2.00pm followed by interment in Crossgar Presbyterian Church Burying Ground. Family and friends welcome to pay their respects at Murdock’s Funeral Home, Coleraine on Tuesday from 6.00pm to 9.00pm. Family flowers only please.
