Martha (Mattie) Martin, 12 Parklea, Portstewart

The death has taken place of the late Martha (Mattie) Martin, September 25 2025, peacefully at Madelayne Court Care Home, formerly of 12 Parklea, Portstewart. Dearly loved wife of the late Robert, loving mother of the late Robert and Mandy and a much loved aunt. Family and friends are welcome to pay their respects at Wades Funeral Home today (Friday) from 3.00pm - 5.00pm. Service of Thanksgiving in Portstewart Presbyterian Church on Saturday at 12noon followed by interment in Agherton Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations, if wished, for Operation Christmas Child (Samaritan’s Purse)

Raymond (Nanny) O'Reilly,  43 Messines Park, Derry

The death has taken place of Raymond (Nanny) O'Reilly, September 24 2025, peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family, beloved husband of Kathleen, loving father of Annette, Catherine, Sean, Brendan, Roisin and Joanne, devoted grandfather of Michael, Aimee, Niamh, Nora, Thomas, Pearse, Fintan, Daniel, Eva, Tom, Cara, Katie and Seamus, great-grandfather of Fiachra and Morrigán and dear brother of Moya, Ann, Martin and Tina. Deeply regretted by all his family and friends. Raymond’s remains will be reposing in his home, 43 Messines Park. Funeral from there on Saturday at 10.50am for 11.30am Requiem Mass in St Columba’s Church, Longtower. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Family time please from 9.00pm to 12noon. The Mass can be viewed live via the church webcam. Family flowers only please. Tom Price, Hill View, Clooney, Clonmany (Formerly of Demesne Gardens, Creggan, Derry)

The death has taken place of the late Tom Price, September 25 2025, peacefully at his home, Hill View, Clooney, Clonmany, Co. Donegal, TOM, (formerly of Demesne Gardens, Creggan), beloved husband of Janice, a loving father, brother and uncle. Tom will be reposing at his sister Bridget’s home, 22 Macneice Close, Ballymagroarty. Funeral leaving 22 Macneice Close on Saturday, September 27 at 9:20am to St. Mary’s Church, Creggan for Requiem Mass at 10:00am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Sacred Heart Of Jesus have mercy on his soul. Our Lady Of Lourdes intercede for him.

 

Molly Steele (née Richardson), Gateside Park, Coleraine

It is with deep regret we announce the passing of Molly Steele (née Richardson), September 24 2025, (peacefully) at her home, Gateside Park, Coleraine, Molly, dearly beloved wife of the late Tommy, dearest sister of the late Lisa, John, Matilda, Sadie, William and Stewart, a dear sister-in-law, much loved aunt, great-aunt and friend. Service in 1st Coleraine Presbyterian Church on Saturday at 2.00pm followed by interment in Ballywillan Cemetery, Portrush. House strictly private. By her own request no flowers please, donations in lieu if desired for Cancer Research c/o Ivan Murdock and Sons, 31 Bushmills Road, Coleraine. Deeply regretted by her loving family, friends and entire family circle.

 

James Sweeney, 25 Parklea, Portstewart

The death has occurred of James Sweeney, September 25 2025, Peacefully at Antrim Area Hospital. Beloved husband of Jean. Loving father of Theresa, Sonia and the late James R.I.P. Devoted grandfather of Nigel, Jason, Andrew and Alister and great-grandfather of Ellie-May, Alfie, Ollie, Theo, Aviere, and Maisy. Dear son of the late James and Annie R.I.P. Brother of Bridget and the late Margaret R.I.P. Deeply regretted by all the family circle. Family time from 9.00pm to 10.00am please. Funeral from his home: 25 Parklea, Portstewart on Sunday, September 28 at 1.00pm for Requiem Mass in Star of the Sea Church Portstewart at 1.30pm followed by interment in Portstewart Cemetery. Teresa Ward (née Barrett), 18 Clonmeen Drive, Strathfoyle

The death has occurred of the late Teresa Ward (née Barrett), September 24 2025, beloved wife of the late Terry, loving mother of Mark, Kevin and Eamer, mother-in-law of Elina, Karen and Philip and devoted grandmother of Ryan, Shay, Shane, Olivia, Tegan, Eino, Arvo and Lewis, great-grandmother of Caleb and Dylan and dear sister of the late Brian. Family and close friends are welcome to pay their respects in her home, 18 Clonmeen Drive, Strathfoyle. Funeral from there on Saturday at 11.30am for 12o’clock Requiem Mass in St Oliver Plunkett’s Church, Strathfoyle. Interment afterwards in St Mary’s Cemetery, Ardmore. Family time please from 10.00pm to 11.00am. Teresa had requested that everyone attending the funeral could wear the colour purple in her memory. Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for her.
