Paula McElwee (née Bamford), Rossnagalliagh, Derry

Catherine Etherson (née Sayers), St John’s Park, Derry

The death has occurred of the late Catherine Etherson (née Sayers), October 1 2025, peacefully at home in St John’s Park, beloved wife of Liam (Bill), loving mother of John, Gary and the late Julie, mother-in-law of Judith and Vanessa, devoted grandmother of Michael, Peter and Georgia and dear sister of Garry. House private please. Everyone is welcome to pay their respects at W J O’Brien & Son’s Funeral Home on Thursday from 6.00pm - 8.00pm. Requiem Mass will be celebrated in St Patrick’s Church, Pennyburn, on Friday at 10o’clock. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for her.

William (Willie) McCorriston, 23 Philip Street, Derry

The death has taken place of William (Willie) McCorriston, September 30 2025, beloved husband of the late Mary (Minnie) and Catherine, loving father of Brendan, Una, Rita, Ann, Cora and Liam, a much loved father-in-law, grandfather and great-grandfather and dear brother of Margaret and the late Rita and Jackie. His remains will be reposing in his home, 23 Philip Street. Funeral from there on Friday at 9.30am for 10o'clock Requiem Mass in St Columba's Church, Longtower. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Family time please from 10.00pm to 11.00am. Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on his soul. Our Lady of Lourdes pray for him.

Paula McElwee (née Bamford), Rossnagalliagh, Derry

It is with deep regret we announce the passing of Paula McElwee (née Bamford), September 30 2025, beloved wife of the late Ronnie, late of Rossnagalliagh, loving mother of Georgina, David, Ronnie and Charlie, a devoted granny, great-granny and sister. House private please. Everyone is welcome to pay their respects at W J O’Brien & Son’s Funeral Home, 110 Clooney Road, Eglinton, BT47 3PU, on Thursday from 3.00pm – 4.00pm. Requiem Mass will be celebrated in St Oliver Plunkett’s Church, Strathfoyle on Friday at 1.00pm. Interment afterwards in St Mary’s Cemetery, Ardmore. Padro Pio pray for her. Queen of the Most Holy Rosary intercede for her.
