Learmount Road outside Park village blocked by fallen trees during Storm Amy
Several power outages have been reported throughout County Derry today.
The outages are a result of Storm Amy which is currently causing disruption throughout Northern Ireland. Inland gusts are expected to reach 60-70 mph, with some exposed coastal areas seeing winds up to 80mph. An amber weather warning has been issued throughout most of Northern Ireland since 3pm today.
Outages have affected thousands of customers throughout County Derry including Limavady, Ballykelly, Claudy, Feeny, Garvagh, Swatragh, Draperstown, Magherafelt, Castledawson, Bellaghy, The Loup, Coleraine, Portstewart, and Castlerock. Outages may disrupt mobile phone coverage and other essential services. As stands the following outages throughout County Derry have been reported on the NIE website.
