Derry Magistrate's Court
A man has been returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on a series of charges relating to an attempted burglary of a house and assault.
David Baronowski (34) of Killymallaght Road in Derry appeared at a Preliminary Enquiry at the local Magistrate's Court today.
He was charged with aggravated burglary at a premises with intent to commit grievious bodily harm on April 10 this year.
He was also charged with possessing a knife on the same date as well as threatening and abusive behaviour, assault on a man and criminal damage to an electronic tag again on the same date.
It was accepted that there was a case to answer and there were no contrary submissions.
Baronowski said that he didn't want to call any witnesses or make any statement at this stage.
He was returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on December 3 and released on continuing bail.
