Missing Man Alan Robinson from Limavady

East Derry MLA Alan Robinson has put out an urgent call for the local community to be vigilant and on the look out for a missing Limavady man.

Ian Scott has been missing since Monday.

The 56 year-old was last seen at 1pm on Monday, November 3 after leaving his home on foot.

Ian is described as being 5ft 9, large build, brown hair, brown eyes and is likely to be wearing jeans, black coat and a black and blue hat.

Police are asking members of the public who may have seen him or have information as to his whereabouts, to contact 101 and use the reference 1588 from 03/11/25.

DUP MLA for East Derry Alan Robinson has called for vigilance in the community.

“Ian Scott has been missing since 1pm on Monday. We will now be shortly entering a key period of almost 48 hours since his last sighting. Everyone is quietly concerned for his whereabouts but no more than his loving family circle,” the DUP man said.

“Can I encourage everyone just to have a quick look through your doorbell or dashcams footage. Take a look around any land or buildings that you own. If you're a business, and I recognise that you're incredibly busy but a look through your own CCTV footage would also be incredibly helpful. To our Council workers who are embedded in our community throughout the day, school caretakers, roads workers, your knowledge in this could also be invaluable. To our walking and park run community we encourage you to be extra vigilant. Local bus drivers or taxi drivers could also be a valuable source of knowledge.”

He concluded: “Limavady is at its very best when we're united and we're all united in this. We want to see Ian reunited with his family.”
