Derry man charged with burglary offences has been returned for trial
Emmett Smith (31) of Rosskeen Park in Derry aced four charges of burglary that were said to have occurred on February 21, 2024. He was also charged with aggravated vehicle taking, driving while disqualified and retention of stolen goods.

A man has been returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on charges of burglary.
Emmett Smith (31) of Rosskeen Park in Derry appeared at a Preliminary Enquiry at the local Magistrates' Court today.
He faced four charges of burglary that were said to have occurred on February 21, 2024.
He was also charged with aggravated vehicle taking, driving while disqualified and retention of stolen goods.
It was accepted that there was a case to answer and there were no contrary submissions.
Smith said he did not want to call any witnesses or make any statement at this stage.
Smith was returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on December 9 and remanded in continuing custody.
