The death has taken place of Patrick Aiden Butcher MBE, November 14 2025, peacefully at Ratheane Nursing Home, Coleraine. Dearly loved husband of Margaret (Peggy) and much loved father of Angela, Terry and Jackie; father-in-law of Steven, Elaine and Chris; adored grandfather of Kerry, Kathy, Lauren and Patrick; and a proud great-grandfather. Bridget (Betty) Gallagher (née Doherty), 34 Lindenwood Park, Foyle Springs, Derry

It is with deep sorrow and great sadness that we announce the passing of Bridget (Betty) Gallagher (née Doherty), peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital on November 14 2025. Late of 34 Lindenwood Park, Foyle Springs. May she rest in peace. Beloved wife of the late John (Jackie). Devoted mother of Billy, Monica and Jacqueline. Loving granny of Holly, Rachael, Ryan, Luke, Lorcan and Rory. A much loved sister of the late Fr. John, May, Kathleen and Roseann. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of her dear nieces, nephews, wider family circle and friends. Betty’s remains will be reposing at her late home, 34 Lindenwood Park, Foyle Springs from 3.00pm on Sunday, November 16. Professor Fabian Monds, CBE, 7 Oak Country Green, Crescent Link, Derry

The death has occurred of the late Professor Fabian Monds, CBE, (formerly of East View Terrace, Omagh), November 13 2025, peacefully, after a long illness, at his home, 7 Oak Country Green, Crescent Link, beloved husband of Eileen, loving father of Aisling and Niamh, devoted grandfather of Aodhgan, Bridie, Aran, Catlin and Ryan, dear son of the late James and Bridget, cherished brother of Noel and the late Sean, Pearl and Junior and a loving uncle to all his nephews and nieces. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by the entire family circle. Funeral leaving his home on Monday, November 17 at 9:20am to St. Columba’s Church, Long Tower for Requiem Mass at 10:00am.
