The man passed away following the collision.
The Police Service of Northern Ireland can confirm that a man has died following a two vehicle road traffic collision on the Windyhill Road, between Limavady and Coleraine, on Thursday, November 20.
Chief Inspector Celeste Simpson from the Collision Investigation Unit said: “Police received a report shortly after 9.45am, on Thursday morning, of a collision involving a lorry and a white Peugeot Partner van.
“Our officers attended, along with our colleagues from partner emergency services. Sadly, however, the driver of the van, was confirmed deceased at the scene.
“Collision Investigation Unit detectives are continuing to investigate the circumstances of this collision. We are particularly keen to hear from persons who witnessed the collision or captured dash-cam footage which may assist with our enquiries. If you can assist please contact the Collision Investigation Unit on 101, quoting reference number 381 20/11/25.”
The Windyhill Road has now reopened.
