Derry-based Gray’s Communications makes strategic investment in signage specialists Graphix

L-R: Chris Gray, Chief Executive of Gray’s Communications, with Paul Kerr, Managing Director, Graphix.

Leading marketing and communications agency Gray’s Communications has announced a strategic investment in Graphix, a long-established signage and exhibition specialist with over 40 years of industry experience.

The investment marks a significant milestone in Gray’s Communications’ continued growth strategy, enhancing its in-house production capabilities and strengthening its position as a full-service creative and communications provider across Ireland and the UK.

Under the new arrangement, Paul Kerr, who joined Graphix in 1996 and has been a partner for more than two decades, becomes Managing Director, retaining his stake and continuing to lead the company’s day-to-day operations.

Chris Gray, Chief Executive of Gray’s Communications, said: “We’re delighted to make this investment in Graphix. The company has an outstanding reputation and a proven record of excellence spanning more than 40 years, with an impressive client portfolio to match. This step holds special significance for me personally as my father Gary founded Graphix. I’m proud to help ensure that his legacy in the industry will continue and evolve as part of our wider group.”

The investment brings together two respected names in the regional creative sector, combining Gray’s Communications’ expertise in strategic marketing and brand communications with Graphix’s long-established reputation in signage, display and exhibition solutions.

Together they create an integrated service offering that delivers even greater value for clients, from concept through to final execution.

Gary Gray, founder of Graphix, added: “I’m incredibly proud of what Paul and I have built over the past 40 years, and deeply grateful to our loyal customers for their continued support. I’m delighted that Paul and Chris are now taking the business forward. They make a formidable team, and I have every confidence they’ll take Graphix to the next level through this exciting new chapter.”

Headquartered in the North West, Gray’s Communications was among the first in its sector to become an accredited Living Wage Employer. Earlier this year, the company launched a medical scholarship scheme at Ulster University, funding a full medical degree to support the next generation of healthcare professionals.

This strategic investment reinforces Gray’s Communications’ commitment to sustainable growth, local investment and maintaining a strong ethical and community focus within the creative industries.
