Sarsfield A.O.H. announces annual anniversary Mass for men who died after hall fire

The Mass will be held on Sunday in Desertmartin.

A.O.H. Division 30 President, Seamus O’Hagan, has announced details of this year’s Annual Anniversary Mass commemorating John McLaughlin, who tragically lost his life in a fire at a County Board Meeting in Swatragh on December 10 1968, and Louis Doyle, who passed away 11 days later on December 21 due to injuries sustained in the same incident.

The Mass will also honour all deceased members of the Ancient Order of Hibernians in County Derry and throughout Ireland.

The service will take place at St. Mary’s Parish Hall, Desertmartin on Sunday, November 30 at 1.30pm. The celebrant will be Fr. McCaul.

President O’Hagan extends warm Christmas and New Year wishes to all A.O.H. members and expresses gratitude to the local community for their continued support throughout the past year. He looks forward to their ongoing support in the year ahead.
