Enterprise North West, a leading local enterprise centre, is proud to announce a dynamic new partnership with North West Regional College (NWRC) to launch IgniteED: Sparking Enterprise in Education – an innovative initiative created to give NWRC students and staff the tools they need to explore, develop and launch innovative business ideas.
IgniteED will serve as a catalyst for entrepreneurial thinking within NWRC, offering tailored support, mentorship, and access to enterprise resources for aspiring student and staff entrepreneurs. Through workshops, one-to-one guidance and networking events, this new programme aims to bridge the gap between education and enterprise, fostering a culture of innovation and self-starting ambition.
Caolan Campbell, Head of Business Programmes at Enterprise North West, said: "IgniteED is about unlocking the entrepreneurial potential that exists within NWRC. We’re excited to work closely with the NWRC Careers Academy, students and staff to help turn ideas into viable businesses and social enterprises that can make a real impact locally and beyond."
Leo Murphy, Principal and Chief Executive of NWRC, added: "This partnership reflects our commitment to preparing students not just for jobs, but for creating them. IgniteED will provide the tools, confidence, and connections needed to spark enterprise in education and inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs and innovators."
The initiative launched with a series of events and opportunities rolling out across NWRC campuses. Students and staff interested in participating are encouraged to contact Louise O’Donnell, Careers Lead at NWRC, careers@nwrc.ac.uk for more details.
