Derry man charged possessing a machete in a public place returned for trial

Caiden Peter Robinson (18) of Deramore in Derry was charged with four counts of driving while disqualified and two counts of dangerous driving which were said to have taken place on March 31 this year. He was also charged with possessing a machete in a public place, two assaults and threatening and menacing behaviour on the same date

The man appeared before Derry Magistrates' Court

A man has been returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on a series of driving and other charges.
Caiden Peter Robinson (18) of Deramore in Derry appeared at a Preliminary Enquiry at the local Magistrates' Court today. 
He was charged with four counts of driving while disqualified and two counts of dangerous driving which were said to have taken place on March 31 this year.
He was also charged with possessing a machete in a public place, two assaults and threatening and menacing behaviour on the same date. 
It was accepted there was a case to answer and there were no contrary submissions. 
Robinson said he did not want to call any witnesses or make any statement at this stage. 
He was returned for trial to Derry Crown Court on January 27 and released on bail.
