'Vigil for Palestine' New Year's Eve on Derry's Peace Bridge.
The annual New Year's Eve Vigil for Peace in Palestine is taking place on Derry's iconic Peace Bridge.
Supported by RISE For Palestine and Derry Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign, the vigil will take place at 2pm on Wednesday, December 31, 2025.
Chairperson of RISE For Palestine, Catherine Hutton, said: "As the year comes to an end, we come together in solidarity with the people of Palestine.
"While others prepare to celebrate, we pause to remember lives lost, families torn apart, and a people still waiting for justice and peace.
"Join us for a New Year’s Eve Vigil for Peace in Palestine, a quiet, compassionate gathering to stand for humanity and hope.

"Everyone is very welcome. Bring flags, candles, and an open heart," said Ms Hutton.
In a social media post, a spokesperson for Derry Ireland Palestine Campaign / Derry Anti War Coalition said: "The annual Derry IPSC / Derry Anti War Coalition New Year’s Eve Bridgil for Palestine has been held every year since Operation Cast Lead in 2009.
"Traditionally, it’s been held at 3.00pm but we are moving it to 2pm this year in order to encourage the unity and solidarity which is more necessary than ever, with a non-existent ceasefire and clear Israeli intent to continue the genocide, killing Palestinians especially children through exposure to the elements and malnutrition.
"This is to say nothing of the brave Prisoners for Palestine whose hunger strike is now past 50 days.
"Hope to see you all there!"
