Man arrested in relation to an assault in Derry in September

A 31-year-old man, who had been wanted in relation to the assault, was arrested on Friday, January 2 on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent

The assault took place in the John Street area of Derry on Friday, September 26.

PSNI officers from the Waterside’s District Support Team have arrested a second man in relation to an assault which took place in the John Street area of Derry on Friday, September 26.
A 31-year-old man, who had been wanted in relation to the assault, was arrested on Friday, January 2 on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent. He remains in custody at this time.
A 28-year-old man was previously arrested by detectives and later charged with grievous bodily harm and affray. He appeared before Derry Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, October 22.
