With just over one week to go, excitement is building for the inaugural Owenbeg Cross Country 2026, set to take place on Saturday, January 17, 2026.

This landmark event is hosted by Springwell Running Club in partnership with Club Derry and is proudly sponsored by O'Neills Sportswear.

Set against the scenic backdrop of the Derry GAA Owenbeg Centre of Excellence on the outskirts of Dungiven, the event promises a premier racing experience on a high-quality course designed to challenge and inspire runners of all levels.

The day’s schedule is packed with competitive action across all age groups:

11:30 - U11 Boys & Girls (1km)

11:45 - U13 Boys & Girls (1.6km)

12:15 - U15 Boys & Girls (3.2km)

12:45 - U17 Boys & Girls (5km)

13:15 - U20, Senior & Masters Females & Male 60+ (6.5km)

14:15 - U20, Senior & Masters Males (6.5km)
