Marking a major literary milestone, Older People North West and the staff of Malvern House have announced the upcoming book launch of "Telling Stories," a new book by the Malvern Writers, taking place in Derry on Friday, January 30 2026.
The publication marks a milestone achievement for the group of older people who, at the beginning of the project, did not believe they had the ability to author a book.
Under the dedicated guidance of facilitator Maura, the group was inspired and encouraged to find their voices, ultimately producing a collection of stories of which they are immensely proud.
Adding to the local talent showcased in the publication, the book features beautiful, original artwork by group member Pearl Evans.
"This is a great achievement for a group who, to begin with, didn't believe they could write a book," said a spokesperson for Malvern House.

The Malvern Writers book launch will take place on Friday, January 30 2026 at 1.00pm in Malvern House / Older People North West, Chapel Road, Derry.
