Detectives granted extra 36 hours to question man arrested on suspicion of murder

43-year-old Wayne Reid was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives investigating the murder of Wayne Reid in Coleraine have today, Friday, January 16, been granted a court extension of an additional 36 hours to question a 33-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder. 

Officers, along with colleagues from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service, responded to an address in the Society Court area of Coleraine, following a report received just after 11.30am on Monday, January 12.

Sadly, 43-year-old Mr Reid was pronounced dead at the scene.
