The death has taken place of Rosemary (Marie) Brown (née McClafferty), January 22 2026, peacefully at home, beloved wife of the late Charlie, loving mother of Damien, Peter, Cherie, Julie, Anne-Marie, Tracy and Yvonne, a much loved mother in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother and dear sister of Majella, Noeleen and the late John, Billy, Robbie and Gerard. Her remains will be reposing in her home, 88 Carnhill, from 12noon - 9.00pm on Friday. Funeral from there on Saturday at 11.30am for 12o'clock Requiem Mass in St Patrick’s Church, Pennyburn. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for her.
Seán Canning (Chico), 10 Ballymore Park, Derry
The death has taken place of Seán Canning (Chico), January 22 2026, peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital, with his loving partner Irene at his side, beloved partner of Irene Thompson, loving father of Gary and the late Damien, Seán, Caolán, Caoimhe, Caoimhín, Ruairí and Emmet, a devoted granda to all his grandchildren, cherished son of Josephine and the late Seán, dear and loving brother of Declán, Una, Ciaran, Conor and Fergal, and a caring brother-in-law and uncle. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by the wider family circle. Chico will be reposing at his home, 10 Ballymore Park, on Friday, January 23 and Saturday, January 24 from 10:00am to 10:00pm. Car parking available at Seán Dolans GAA. Funeral leaving his home on Sunday, January 25 at 12:30pm to St. Mary’s Church, Creggan for Requiem Mass at 1:15pm.
