The death has occurred of the late Sean Canning, January 28 2026, peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital, (late of Kular Court), beloved partner of Renate, loving father of Nicola, Eamon, Orla and Maeve, dear son of the late Paddy and May, cherished brother of Fiona, Ciara, Garrett, Fergal, Nuala, Mura and Eamon, a loving grandfather and uncle. Loved and will be sadly missed by his wider family circle and friends in Holland and Ireland. Sean will be reposing at his sister’s home, 10 Papworth Avenue, Culmore on Thursday, January 29 from 6:00pm. Funeral leaving 10 Papworth Avenue on Saturday, January 31 at 10:50am to St. Eugene’s Cathedral for Requiem Mass at 11:30am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Sacred Heart Of Jesus have mercy on his soul. Our Lady Of Lourdes intercede for him.

Mona Craig (née Mulholland), 24 Tamlaghtduff Park, Bellaghy

Funeral arrangements for the late Mona Craig (née Mulholland), January 29 2026, beloved wife of the late Willie and loving mother of Maeve and Rory (Karen), grandmother of Ruairi, Conall and Niamhie, beloved aunt of Conor, Kevin, Ann and Deirdre, dear sister of the late Terry, Laurence and Fintan Mulholland. Funeral from her home, 24 Tamlaghtduff Park on Saturday, January 31 at 11.30am for 12.00noon Requiem Mass in Church of St. Mary Bellaghy. Interment afterwards in adjoining cemetery. St Teresa pray for her. Deeply regretted by her son, daughter, daughter in law, grandchildren, nephews, nieces and extended family circle family circle. 

Robert Trevor (RT) Dunn, 38 Killymallaght Road, Cullion

It is with regret we announce the passing of Robert Trevor (RT) Dunn, January 29 2026, Peacefully in Altnagelvin Hospital (surrounded by his loving family in his 73rd year) loving son of the late Bobby and Sarah, much loved brother of Anne, David (Dee) and the late Alan, Maurice and Norma (Chic) a dear brother-in-law, uncle and great-uncle. Funeral leaving his late home, 38 Killymallaght Road, Cullion, on Sunday, February 1 at 12.30pm followed by a Service of Thanksgiving for his life in the Church of Ireland Centre, Newbuildings, at 1.00pm burial afterwards in Altnagelvin Cemetery. Family flowers only donations in lieu if desired (cheques made payable to Church of Ireland Centre, Newbuildings) c/o The Rectory Office, Church Brae, Altnagelvin, Derry BT47 2LS. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by his entire family circle. “The day Thou gavest Lord is ended” “One of life’s true gentlemen”

Samuel James (Adrian) Hamilton, Derry

The death has taken place of the late Samuel James (Adrian) Hamilton, January 14 2026, (passed away unexpectedly while on a trip to Benidorm, Spain) Loving father of Isaac and Ellie, precious son of the late Eileen and Jim and dear brother of the late Keith, dearest uncle of Alison and Andrew. Service of Thanksgiving in D & R Hay & Sons Funeral Home 24A, Church Road, Altnagelvin, Derry BT47 3QQ on Friday, January 30, at 10.30am followed by burial in Banagher Presbyterian Burial Ground. Family flowers donations in lieu, if desired (cheques made payable) to the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust c/o Mrs Ruth Hay, Funeral Director (address as above). An Orangeman's funeral, regalia to be worn. Adrian’s loss is deeply felt within his family circle. “Gone but not forgotten”.

Robert George (Bobby) Hepburn, 6 Greymount Crescent, Derry

The death has occurred of the late Robert George (Bobby) Hepburn  (Ex. RUC), January 29 2026, peacefully in Altnagelvin Hospital after an illness bravely bourne. Dearly beloved husband of the late Susan. Devoted father of Terrie, Roberta, Linda, Kinsley and Georgia. Dear father-in-law of Paul, Alwyn, Tony and Perah and a loving grandfather of Bobbie-Lee, Philip, Clayton, Travis and Melissa and a great grandfather of Emi-Rose, Ryla-Rose, Robin, Harry, Holly and Luella. Funeral service in his late home, 6 Greymount Crescent on Sunday, Feburary 1 at 2.00pm followed by burial in St Canices Parish Churchyard. Donations to St Columb’s Cathedral c/o Rev Canon J Merrick, 17 London Street, Derry BT48 6RQ. Visitors welcome on Friday, January 30 from 2.00pm. The death has taken place of the late Carol Holmes, Passed away peacefully at Royal Victoria Hospital on January 28 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Devoted Mother of Kelly, loving Daughter of Sylvia (John), Dear sister of Lynne (Mark) And the late Angela (Alan), and the late Pauline. Loving Aunt of Alistair, Adrian, Luke, Jenna, Charlie and the late Chip. It is with deep regret and sorrow we announce the passing of Margaret Elizabeth (Elsie) Millar (née Boggs), January 28 2026, peacefully at Daleview Nursing Home and formerly of Arden Place, Kilfennan, beloved wife of the late George, loving mother of Joan, Pearl and Leslie, mother-in-law of Ken, Bill and Gillian, devoted grandmother of Steven and Allison and cherished great-grandmother of Faye and Nora. Everyone is welcome to pay their respects at W J O’Brien & Son’s Funeral Home, 110 Clooney Road, Eglinton, BT47 3PU, on Friday from 1.00pm – 3.00pm and 7.00pm – 9.00pm. It is with regret we announce the passing of Nancy (Nan) Shiels, January 29 2026, (peacefully) at The Marina Care Home, Ballyronan, formerly of Tamneymartin House, Maghera and Railway Cottages, Lambeg, Lisburn, beloved Sister of the late Billy, Joan and Kenneth, a loving Sister-in-Law of Elizabeth, much loved Aunty of Kenneth, Derek, Lorraine, Linda-Jayne and Christine and their Families. All welcome at D. Watters Funeral Home, Tobermore on Sunday afternoon (February 1) from 2:30pm - 4:00pm. A Service of Thanksgiving for Nan's Life will take place in D. Watters Funeral Home, Tobermore on Friday, February 6 at 10:30am, followed by a private cremation. Family flowers only please. Lovingly remembered by her Family and Friends. "Forever in our hearts."
