Malcolm Gray, 2 Drumbane Gardens, Caw, Derry

The death has taken place of Malcolm Gray, February 11 2026, Peacefully at his late home 2 Drumbane Gardens, Caw (surrounded by his loving family, in 83rd year) much loved husband of the late Theresa, devoted dad of Michael, Philip and the late Nicolas, dearest granda of Christopher Michael and a dear neighbour and friend. Funeral leaving D&R Hay and Sons Funeral Home, 24a Church Road, Altnagelvin, Derry, BT47 3QQ, on Friday, February 13 at 11.00am followed by burial afterwards in Ballyoan Cemetery. Family flowers only, donation in lieu if desired (cheques made payable to Foyle Hospice), c/o Foyle Hospice, 61, Culmore Road, Derry BT48 8JE. Very deeply regretted and will be lovingly remembered by his entire family circle. “Peacefully sleeping free from pain, we wouldn‘t awake you to suffer again”.

 

Samuel (Sammy) Kineton, 6 Yeats Court, Ballymagroarty, Derry

It is with deep regret we announce the passing of Samuel (Sammy) Kineton, peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, on February 12 2026. Late of 6 Yeats Court, Ballymagroarty. May he rest in peace. Beloved husband of the late Sheila. Much-loved father of George, Annmaire, Sharon, Sam, Paul Martin, Declan and the late Jacqueline. A dear father-in-law. Loving granda and great-granda to all of his much loved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of his wider family circle, friends and neighbours. Sammy's remains will be reposing at his late home, 6 Yeats Court. Funeral leaving from there on Saturday, February 14 at 9:30am for Requiem Mass at 10.00am in Holy Family Church, Ballymagroarty. Georgina (Georgie) Linton (née Brown), 32 Brown Drive, Maghera

The death has occurred of the late Georgina (Georgie) Linton (née Brown), February 10 2026, (peacefully) at Antrim Area Hospital, The Marina Care Home, Ballyronan and 32 Brown Drive, Maghera, dearly loved Wife of the late Bobby, much loved Mother of Thomas, Elizabeth (Alistair), Wilma and Janice, a dear Mother-in-Law of Andrea, Winston and Alistair, a devoted Grandmother and Great Grandmother and dearest Sister of Leslie, Mervyn and the late Jim, Jack, Sammy, Albert, Sadie, Harry and twin Sister Philomena. Funeral will take place from her home on Friday, February 13 at 1:30pm, to Maghera Presbyterian Church for service at 2:00pm, followed by burial in the adjoining Churchyard. Family flowers only please. Ann Martina Marshall (née McNicholl), 26 Hammond Street, Moneymore

The death has taken place of Ann Martina Marshall (née McNicholl), February 11 2026, (26 Hammond Street, Moneymore), Suddenly and Tragically may she Rest in Peace. Beloved wife of Gerald (Gerry) and devoted mother of Brendan and Michael, cherished sister of Seamus, Kathleen Donnelly, Patrick, Mary Gervin, Anthony, Paula Heagney and the late baby Angela who died in infancy, daughter of the late Phil and Anna McNicholl and daughter-in-law of the late Joseph and Eileen Marshall. Funeral from her home on Saturday, February 14 at 10.30am for 11.00am Requiem Mass in Church of St. John and St. Trea Moneymore via webcam at st-john-trea-church-moneymore - MCN. Interment afterwards in adjoining cemetery. Our Lady Pray for her. Deeply regretted and lovingly missed by her Husband, sons, sisters, brothers, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, friends and her wider family circle. Family time only please from 10:00pm until 10:30am and on the morning of the funeral. The wake for Ann will commence on Thursday, February 12 at 8.00pm.

 

Elizabeth (Betty) McGonigle (née Donnell), 272 Carnhill, Derry

The death has taken place of Elizabeth (Betty) McGonigle (née Donnell), peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at her home 272 Carnhill, beloved wife of the late Gerry, loving mother of Geraldine, Deirdre, Eileen and the late Thomas, dear mother-in-law to Peter, Johnny, Anthony and Debbie, devoted grandmother of Rachel, Hannah, Thomas, Amy, Conor and Liam and great-grandmother of Luca, cherished sister of Ruby and the deceased members of the Donnell family. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by the entire family circle. Betty will be reposing at her home on Friday, February 13 from 11:00am to 10:00pm. Funeral leaving her home on Saturday, February 14 at 10:20am to St. Brigid’s Church, Carnhill for Requiem Mass at 11:00am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu, if wished, to Hospital At Home, c/o Bradley & McLaughlin Funeral Directors, 31 William Street, Derry. Sacred Heart Of Jesus have mercy on her soul. Paul James McLaughlin, 93 Drumleck Drive, Derry

The death has taken place of the late Paul James McLaughlin, February 11 2026, peacefully, after a short illness, at Altnagelvin Hospital, (formerly of St. Francis Terrace, Pennyburn), beloved husband of Anna, loving father of Maria, Paul, Gregory, Jeana, Carl, Liam and Aíne, dear father-in-law to Julie, Fergal, Gráinne, Michelle and Colm and a devoted grandfather to his 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, dear son of the late William and Jean, cherished brother of Brian, Stella, Dierdre and the late Billy and a loving uncle to his nephews and nieces. Loved and will be sadly missed by the entire family circle.  Paul will be reposing at his home 93 Drumleck Drive on Friday, February 13 from 11:00am to 7:00pm for extended family circle. Funeral leaving his home on Saturday, February 14 at 9:30am to Our Lady Of Lourdes Church, Steelstown for Requiem Mass at 10:00am. Interment afterwards in the City Cemetery. Black attire not necessary. Family flowers only donations in lieu if wished to Cancer Research, donate.cancerresearchuk.org. Sacred Heart Of Jesus have mercy on his soul. Our Lady Of Lourdes intercede for Him.
