Members of the Kerala Association Derry presented a cheque to Foyle Search and Rescue, following the overwhelming success of their 2026 Chicken Tikka Charity Challenge.
The fundraising initiative, which took place earlier this month, saw members of the local Kerala community come together to prepare and deliver hundreds of authentic, home-style chicken tikka meals to supporters across the city.

The proceeds from the event were handed over to Ryan Brennan of Foyle Search and Rescue to thank them for the “amazing help and support” its volunteers provide.
The Kerala Association Derry is a non-profit community organisation which brings together and works for the socio-cultural development of the Indian Malayalee (Keralite) community in the Derry City and Strabane District Council, and surrounding, area. It represents people from Kerala in Southern India.
