Derry Court
A man who the court heard has 'a colossal criminal record' and who was released from prison on February 27 has been remanded in custody at Derry Magistrate's Court.
Paul Farren (36) of Rivercourt in Derry appeared facing a total of 10 charges.
He was charged with five counts of assaulting police officers on February 28.
Farren was further charged with criminal damage, spitting in a police vehicle, tearing a jumper belonging to the PSNI, damaging a microphone and disorderly behaviour all of which were said to have occurred on February 28.
A police officer connected the accused to the charges and defence counsel Michael Donaghy said that there would be no application for bail at this stage.
