Dearly beloved husband of Sandra, dear brother of Michael, brother-in-law of Kenneth and Alwyn; and uncle of Kevin, James, Patrick, Katherine and Claire. House and funeral private. No flowers please. The death has taken place of Elizabeth Lillian Canning, March 7 2026, Peacefully at Longfield Care Home, Eglinton (in her 104th year formerly of 20 Glenview Avenue, Derry) much loved daughter of the late Catherine and Harry, a loving aunt and great-aunt. Service of Thanksgiving in Carlisle Road Methodist Church on Tuesday, March 10 at 11.00am, followed by burial in the City Cemetery. Family flowers only, donations in lieu if desired (cheques made payable to Foyle Hospice) c/o Foyle Hospice, 61 Culmore Road, Derry BT48 8JE. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by her entire family circle. “The day Thou gavest Lord is ended”

Darryl Curtis, 70 Stoney Path, Derry

Funeral arrangements for the late Darryl Curtis, March 9 2026, peacefully, after a short illness, surrounded by his loving family, at Foyle Hospice, (formerly of Croydon, England), beloved partner of Louise, loving father of Shannon, Brandon, Luke and Jack, devoted grandfather of Mia, dear son of David and Brenda and a cherished brother and uncle. Dearly loved and will be sadly missed by the entire family circle. Darryl will be reposing at his home, 70 Stoney Path, on Monday, March 9 from 3:00pm. House Private From 10:00pm to 11:00am. Funeral leaving his home on Wednesday, March 11 at 9:20am to St. Columba’s Church, Long Tower for Requiem Mass at 10:00am. Catherine Devlin, 43 Springvale Park, Derry

The death has occurred of the late Catherine Devlin, March 9 2026, Peacefully at Altnagelvin Hospital. Beloved Daughter of Kathleen and the late Martin. Dear sister of Grainne, Margaret, Coilin, Ciara, Michelle and Marey. A much loved Aunt. Catherine's remains will be reposing from her home, 43 Springvale Park from Tuesday, March 10. Funeral from there on Thursday, March 12 at 9:30am to Saint Eugene's Cathedral for Requiem Mass at 10:00am. Interment immediately afterwards in the City Cemetery. House private please from 8.00pm to 11.00am. Sacred Heart of Jesus have Mercy on her soul.

Michael (Mousey) Gallagher, 33 Strabane Old Road, Gobnascale, Derry

It is with deep regret we announce the passing of Michael (Mousey) Gallagher, March 7 2026, peacefully at Antrim Area Hospital, beloved son of the late Margaret Gallagher, loving brother of Clare, Bruce, Martin, Philly, Veronica and the late Teresa, Margaret and Patsy and much loved uncle of Deborah, Christopher, Shauna, Imelda, Niall and Kevin. Sadly missed by the extended family circle in Scotland, Australia and USA; and by his many friends in the Top of the Hill area. Mousey’s remains will be reposing in the family home, 33 Strabane Old Road, Gobnascale. Funeral from there on Wednesday at 9.30am for 10o'clock Requiem Mass in St Columb’s Church, Chapel Road. Interment afterwards in St Mary's Cemetery, Ardmore. The death has taken place of the late John Rafferty, March 7 2026, suddenly at Letterkenny University Hospital, beloved partner of Bernie loving father of Gavin and Steven also their mother Pauline, much loved grandfather of Niamh, Blaithin and Connell. Father-in-law of Maria and Roanna. Brother of Paul, Frankie, Peter and the Late Moira, Emmet, Siobhan and Priscilla.
John will be reposing at his partner Brenie's home 4 Eskaheen View. Funeral from there on Wednesday at 1.00pm to City Cemetery for interment at 1.30pm. Deeply regretted and will be missed by all his family and friends and everyone that knew him. Peace Perfect Peace.
